13 weeks

I cannot believe it! Little Alex is growing up so fast! He will be 3 months old tomorrow! Where is the time going!? Whatever time is doing its not slowing down thats for sure.

This week started off great. We got a special visit from Grandpa and Grandma Piznao. We celebrated our little Christmas together and Alex got to show off what a big boy he is. He was showered with tons of gifts and I am sure when he gets a bit older he will love to play with them all. His favorite gift so far has been a image projector toy. When you turn it on, a cute little animal image appears on the ceiling (or where ever you point it) and it will slowly change to a different scene every min. or so. It also plays music and has light up stuff on it and everything. Its really cool and actually something I wanted to buy him for awhile now but just didn't have the money. It was a gift from his Grandparents and he loves it.

That night he did a first he actually slept through the night for the first time!!! WOW! It has happened a couple of times now, but now hes back to his old ways of waking up alot. I think it is due to the fact he is going through a growth spurt again... wonderful.... well actually its a good thing for him, just a not so good thing for vending machine Mama! haha

Mia is showing more and more interest in him as well and is finally starting to share her toys with him. Too bad she doesn't know how to hand things and rather throws them! YIKES! She piles tons of toys next to him and even tries to make him smile by shaking it in front of his face. Too bad when she does this, the toy is like half an inch from his eyes... poor Alex doesn't like that much.

He also did another first this week, he laughed without me touching him. He seems to really like when you say "BOO!" all surprised. He always lets out a big smile at this and sometimes he will even laugh! Sooooo cute!

He is also becoming more and more grabby. He will hold on to things for a short while, but he will grab at nearly everything. I have to remember to keep his nails short because it hurts when you are his target! haha

Mia and him are definately two peas in a pod now. Not only do they hang out ALL the time, but now they both suck their two fingers! Each on different hands but they still both do it. It is kind of cute to watch them do it together.

He is becoming more attentive now as well and really likes to look around. He is a TV bug already and loves to watch Mia's shows. During his awake time in the morning he just love to sit on my lap or lay on the floor and watch TV. I guess Mama's little tickling sessions can't compete with Yo, Gabba Gabba!

His picture finally came in the mail from the photo session we had at the house. I LOVE it! and wasted no time in framing it. I also scanned it and shared it on Facebook and EVERYONE fell in love with him. They can't believe how blue his eyes are, and I can't either. I still can't help but wonder if they will stay that way. They do tend to change alot from light to dark depending on the light source (ie. indoor lighting v. sunlight) but sometimes they even look green!

And his final first this week is he graduated to the infant side of his baby tub!!!! YAY! No more newborn hammock for him! I am so happy about this because that hammock was a PAIN! He was always slipping into the water and I had to literally hold him up with one hand and try to wash him with the other. So now things are easier, I am so happy for my little man. He loves it too!

Well Little Miss Mia is up and I need to get her day started before the little guy wakes up. The worse thing is having them both up at the exact same time needing me... thats a hard game to balance. Well I will be back tomorrow for his big 3 months blog!
