So needless to say we have been a Pampers family....until now!
Mia has always worn Pampers "Baby Dry" but now they discontinued it and have "Pampers Max" or something like that. I do not like them AT ALL! The change has been the downfall of our relationship with Pampers. As Mia grew older (and BIGGER) she began to have more accidents in bed. The Pampers Overnights are a JOKE! so we have switched to Huggies Nights for her. They seem to do the job and rarely do we have accidents. Now that Alex is here, a whole new wrench has been tossed into the mix...
I don't know if its him or what but we have been having diaper issues ever since he was born!!! Hes so powerful that be blows out diapers left and right. At one point BOTH the Pampers and Huggies weren't cutting it. We had to quickly graduate him over and over and now hes not even 2 months old yet and has been in stage 2 diapers for about two weeks now!!! This really stinks for us because we received sooooo many diapers from the baby showers we thought we would be set for awhile. WRONG! We still have 2 brand new packages of "Newborn", 1 half pack of "Newborn", 1 unopened package of Stage 1, and a 80% full economy box size of stage 1!!! Not cool!!! But we had to do what we had to do and graduated him. The size upgrade has helped a bit but we have noticed one fatal flaw... the Pampers get worse as he gets bigger!!!
At first the pampers were doing ok, however, they were the "old" baby dry pampers that we had left over from when Mia was little. Now that we ran out of those and started on the new ones, they are failing left and right. When he poops it goes all the way up his back and out the top! This has happened more and once and this morning he not only pooped his clothes but the bed he was laying on too!!! Good Grief!
So now what?! We have a giant economy size box of Pampers being delivered today... GREEAT! another wasted box.. and we have a 90% full package of unused Pampers just waiting to fail. I really would hate to switch to Huggies especially since their point reward system is really lame.. however, I am tired of these accidents. At least with Huggies (which we tried out on him as well with the stage 2) we have yet to see an accident. The weird thing about Huggies is when he poops in them the poop goes up the front, but it stays contained.
Sigh... I never thought we would have diaper issues. I guess Karma is making up for the easy time we had with Mia's diapers at this age.
