Alex's First trip to the outlets!

Today we decided to take a trip to the Lake Elsinore Outlets. Mia has been in desperate need of new winter clothes, jammies and pants. She is going through another growth spurt so she is outgrowing all her clothes in record time. Since it was a pretty warm day out and I have been going stir crazy from being inside the house all the time, we decided to go as a family. I wasn't really sure how Alex would be since he isn't too fond of car rides but Mia needs clothes so we chanced it anyway.

It was a "on the fly" decision so we weren't really prepared as we usually are. Alex had a rough morning and had finally fallen asleep, I was leary about waking him up but did anyway once all of us were ready to head out.

I quickly dressed him in some warm clothes and off we went to the outlets. Of course Alex was NOT happy about being squished in his car seat and SCREAMED and cried from the livingroom all the way to the outlets (a 15-20 mins drive). Even Mia grew concerned about his screaming but we told her baby was ok.

Once we arrived at the outlets we got the baby out and into the stroller and then took Mia out of the car. Alex was still fussing but as soon as I started walking with him in the stroller her calmed down and fell asleep. I guess all that crying really wore him out.

Adrian was holding Mia's hand and walking with her as I pushed Alex in the stroller. We went straight for the Carter's store since we always had most luck there. Once we walked in we went on a shopping spree while Mia played in their toy area for kids. Alex did good in the store, he only fussed a couple of times when he woke up but it didn't take much to put him back to sleep.

After spending $135 on new clothes and light up shoes for Mia ... and yes even Alex got a "Little Brother" shirt... we left. We then decided to show Mia the giant Christmas tree they had at the mall and stop by to visit Santa. Alex slept through all of that and after hitting the candy apple store (in which he screamed and cried again) we went back to the car and headed home.

He woke up as soon as he got in the car and screamed the whole ride home... sigh... ah well
Once we made it home, I got him off the car, changed his diaper and fed him dinner. Then he was happy again.

Well it was fun getting out as a family again and to be honest it went alot better than I thought. Though he did cry a bit most of the crying was done in the car and not in the store so I am happy about that.... speaking of crying there he is again! Off to do more Mama duties....
